SVP Business Development

Ensure revenue objectives are met: Achieve predefined new business goals for Acosta by developing and executing lead generation plans and sales strategies for targeted prospective clients.
Deploy strategic pipeline management: develop and maintain a strong pipeline through lead qualification enterprise framework. This will encompass new client lead generation & developing existing clients to full integrated services.
Extensive experience in end-to-end RFP management. Working in partnership with our RFP support team, this sales leader will be point for this process ensuring that we are analyzing requirements, completing scope of work, effectively identifying, and developing proposal strategies, themes, storyboards, discriminators & and that we hold cross functional teams accountable for their delivery as part of the RFP.
Direct report responsibilities: This role will have people management responsibility (2 directors) & we need leaders who know how to successfully staff & retain strong sales talent. Critical to this success is the ability to coach, mentor & develop direct reports into strategic sales associates.
Cross functional excellence: Work in partnership with members of proposal, pricing & client development teams to develop strategy, establish production schedule and develop a resource plan to ensure timely deliveries to all clients.
Master’s degree preferred
Work Experience Requirements:
10+ years of relevant work experience
8+ years of supervisory/management experience
5+ years of experience executing successful RFP proposal generation and developing business opportunities similar to those provided by Acosta.
Proven track record/ history of multi-million-dollar annualsales development.
Project Management from onset through transition.
Experience responding to RFPs and RFIs.
Prior experience in Retail, CPG, and/or manufacturing.

Proven ability to prospect new business via industry knowledge and first-hand experience,
Adept at storytelling and selling to business leaders - Stellar presentation skills and ability to engage and lead client meetings withsenior stakeholders.
Ability to lead, motivate, and influence team members (direct and indirect).
Highly developed Project Management skills.
Proven ability to analyze data and turn into real world solutions.
Adept at building sustainable relationships.
Extensive Industry contacts.
Entrepreneurial by nature.
High energy, positive thinker, collaborative, confident, consultative.
Strong interpersonal and highly developed writing skills; acute attention to detail.
Extensive exposure with Procurement & deep understanding of the role in a successful RFP.
Ability totravel. This is done strategically, as many of our initial discussions happen virtually, but travel to live meetings & conferences as needed, but the individual is able to set up their calendar for their own work/life balance.
