Acosta Project Manager III (REMOTE) in United States
Overview
The Project Manager III plays a key role in leading innovative, transformative efforts of significant importance for Acosta. The incumbent demonstrates deep skills in leading a cross-functional team to achieve far reaching business objectives to drive significant return for Acosta. He or she is effective in working across organizational boundaries, gaining the cooperation and support of diverse stakeholders to define and achieve the overarching business objectives.
The Project Manager III will manage multiple medium to large scale initiatives in support of all areas of Acosta’s Sales and Marketing segments, including Corporate Strategy, Headquarter Sales, Retail Operations, Assisted Selling and Training, and Experiential Marketing, as well as traditional shared service functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Communications and Information Technology. These initiatives will include business and technology enabled transformations.
This is a remote (work from home) position
Responsibilities
Overall management of the strategic or transformative initiative to achieve the stated business objective, within the appropriate scope, schedule and budget boundaries
Plan and design of the initiative, including identification of the business opportunities, value definition and measure of value
Definition of scope, approach, project plan and budget
Forecasting and planning of resource requirements
Proactive monitoring of progress, risks, risk mitigation, issue identification and resolution
Management of budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs against benefits that are realized
Management of the work of cross-functional teams toward delivery against initiative objectives
Reporting of initiative progress to team members, initiative sponsors, initiative stakeholders and executives
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts Degree - IT, Bachelor of Science Degree or Equivalent work experience.
10 years’ professional experience with a combination of the following:
Project and Program Management of Financial Management, Technology Delivery, Business Process Improvement and/or Business Transformation projects
Cross group collaboration and large group meeting facilitation
Formal presentation to large audiences, including senior leadership
Data gathering, analysis and reporting
Driving adoption of improved processes and methods within and outside direct team
Experience with Project Portfolio Management tools to aid in Resource Planning & Forecasting
Experience with Microsoft Project Professional and Project Server, with the integration of Portfolio Management, Project Management, Time Tracking and Resource Management
Industry experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Logistics, Retail or Services preferred
