Overview

Provide vision and leadership to multifunctional product teams on the Salesforce solutions domain, ensuring that the solution is designed optimally balancing code and configuration. The position is also responsible for planning the roadmap for Salesforce and working with the Application Delivery team to bring to successful deployment meeting business needs. The position is responsible for Thought leadership around Salesforce utilization to fulfill the growing Acosta Business.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  1. Lead the Salesforce technical architectural strategy, developing solutions based on business needs in a dual track agile & iterative environment.

  2. Lead in Business Requirement sessions and provide technical guidance, act as a SME in Salesforce

  3. Mentor and Coach the Application delivery and QA team members to ensure successful delivery of IT initiatives on Salesforce.

  4. Work directly with Business partners to answer detailed technical questions about product capabilities and approaches to meeting their needs while maximizing existing product capabilities

  5. Work with development team to translate business requirements into configuration and technical requirements and own the complete delivery of projects

  6. Stay abreast of latest technologies that enable successful delivery of products and influence internal stakeholders to fully utilize the Salesforce investments.

  7. Develop standards and best practices; Maintain current system documentation and architecture diagrams

  8. Leading Proof of Concepts for new product capabilities

  9. Assist with development functions to help with capacity needs.

  10. Provide leadership (both technical and professional), coaching and development for team members.

  11. Coordinate with other teams as needed for products or initiatives that have cross team dependencies.

  12. Technical accountability for the Salesforce landscape.

  13. Partner with Project Managers and/or Application Delivery leaders to plan all phases of assigned projects

  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ Demonstrating working experience with Salesforce Administration and Configuration (Hands on experience implementing workflow rules, validation rules, complex assignment rules, process builders, lightning web components, working with metadata etc.

  • 5+ demonstrated working experience utilizing Salesforce Technological Product Suites (Data Loader, Workbench, IDE tools like Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, etc.)

  • 5+ Experience in Salesforce Cloud Solutions, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.

  • 5+ Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality especially in the areas of Sales and Marketing (CRM and CPQ in particular)

  • Programming experience with the following languages, J2EE, HTML XML, SQL, Oracle.

  • Experience in programming using Salesforce SFDC, Force.com, Java, JavaScript, and XML and their use in the development of CRM solutions.

  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.

  • Strong understanding third party integration with Salesforce and impact of these integrations, and ability to document an end-to-end process in the whole

  • Certified Salesforce solutions Architect

  • Understanding non-functional requirements related to access control, security, performance, or integrations, to conduct requirements session, validation and analysis meetings with appropriate stakeholders; perform Fit/Gap analysis; support testing activities; and produce deliverables related to the project

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

  • Ability to manage the development of high quality code that can lead to rapid delivery, pursue continuous integration and delivery.

  • Ability to orchestrate continual technical improvements to develop platforms, systems and processes.

  • Proficient with deployment tools and DevOps practices.

  • Attention to detail to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, combined with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to provide guidance and clarification to developers and administrators and work cohesively with the team
