Acosta Sales & Marketing Payroll Tax Manager in United States, United States


The Payroll Tax Manager is responsible to ensure all payroll tax payments, filings, and tax statements (W2) are completed accurately and timely with all federal, state and local regulations, either in-house or through our payroll tax vendors.

Some Essential Functions of this Position:

  • Provide direction and oversight of Payroll Tax

  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with all current and newly enacted federal, state and local regulations for the US and its territories

  • Support tax planning around M&A activity both in-house and through our vendors

  • Manage the reconciliation of payroll provider Statement of Deposits

  • Provide monthly metrics around tax payments, filings, and notices, as well as forecasts for pending tax legislation

  • Develop and maintain internal controls


Minimum Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Knowledge and Experience Requirement:

  • CPP Certification required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 5 years payroll tax experience in all US states

  • 1 year people management experience in a virtual environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills to resolve variances and potential disputes

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and interact with business partners
