Acosta Sales & Marketing President, NSSI in United States, Massachusetts

Overview

The President, NSSI is critical to the current and future growth and profitability of the Company. The President, NSSI manages the Client P&L to maximize Acosta services revenue and incentive (bonus) earnings. The position is recognized by both the Management Committee and their peers as a key contributor to the organization. The President, NSSI exhibits high proficiency in performance of responsibilities. President, NSSI is dedicated to Natural Specialty Sales with responsibility for overall business development. The incumbent oversees US and Canada NSSI P&L; including all sales operations resources, client business tracking and results, analytical reporting; and financial management of all client business development funds.

Responsibilities

  1. Exercise strategic leadership and general management capability in representing the full scope of NSSI division as a strategic resource partner in business development planning and relationship-building with the Client’s Senior Management and Functional Leadership, thereby positioning Acosta/NSSI as the Client’s trusted advisor and preferred Agency resource

  2. Manage the NSSI revenue, budget and P&L to achieve assigned Client business and financial goals; and to grow NSSI total revenue, bonus capture and services share at the Client.

  3. Organize the NSSI client services plan and supporting resources for achieving the Client’s business development objectives. Coordinate the collaboration and participation of Acosta & NSSI teams, ensuring strategic alignment of all services, capabilities.

  4. Structure, staff, train and direct a team, including dedicated and shared resources across NSSI United States and Canadian operations.

  5. Actively build and maintain relationships with Client senior management and key functional leaders, including strategy, sales, sales operations (sales planning, insights, trade and shopper marketing and category management), marketing, finance, customer service and human resources.

  6. Oversee NSSI integrated planning and execution process, facilitating development and execution of Client strategic and operating plans and sales initiatives across channels, retail and NSSI support functions.

  7. Provide strategic direction and communication about the Client’s business and financial goals to ensure consistent focus on priorities and active communication of business conditions and opportunities across the Acosta & NSSI services network

  8. Monitor and communicate Client results vs. assigned business and incentive objectives to the NSSI team and the Client’s Executive and Functional Management teams

  9. Facilitate the sharing of best practices and common resource initiatives across consortium team partner companies to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency while furthering Acosta-NSSI total value and services retention efforts with Client senior management

  10. Other: Coordinate meetings/Client market visits; and work on special projects as requested by senior management.

  11. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Arts Degre

20+ years of increasing management responsibility with a manufacturer, retailer or service agency in the consumer packaged goods industry.

• Evidence of effective performance in handling management assignments in multiple functions (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance or Operations)
