DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Business Insights Analyst , the primary responsibility is to lead and manage the development of our BI Team to define the scope of each project and ensure deliverables are completed within required timelines and owning day-to-day operations, including the internal and external communication of market insights, industry trends and present findings to Customer and Client teams (Internal & External).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

  • Support internal Sales/external client team with fact-based insights that will foster achievement of overall goals/strategies and initiatives

  • Provide advice/recommendation regarding the appropriate use of results of ad hoc and standardized consumer and shopper information

  • Communicate with confidence (oral & written) and adaptability at all levels (internal/external) to get clear and concise messaging across

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners, customers and others through the use of strong interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organized, capable of independently managing multiple projects and completing tasks.

  • Coordinate with respective areas to resolve issues and develop processes to accomplish shared goals.

  • Effectively deal with change in a fast-paced demanding environment while

  • Coordinate efforts with sales and Business Insights Analysts to manage the completion of all presentations in order to meet the time frames and needs

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or work experience equivalent – Business Diploma or Degree preferred and proven CPG related experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Certificate from a Business Analysis accreditation institution preferred, but not required.

  • Experience in category management and proficiency using various POS, data tools to interpret large quantities of data for insights

  • High-level analytical capability

  • Assimilating and interpreting data from different data sources into clear-concise action-oriented recommendations

  • Strong proficiency in Nielsen Market Track, IRI, FCL, JDA (Blue Yonder), Excel & PowerPoint

  • Experience at working independently and in a team environment.

  • Commitment to solving problems with a positive attitude

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong proficiency in Nielsen Market Track, IRI, LDIA, FCL, JDA (Blue Yonder), Excel & PowerPoint

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.

  • Ability to shift priorities, demands, and timelines in a fast-paced environment with a cooperative attitude

  • Solid knowledge of current Internet, Intranet, Extranet, and client server architectures, including Share Point.

  • Ability to develop and manage effective working relationships with business leadership and across departments

  • Ability to effectively present to senior and diverse audiences

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – must be able to effectively communicate with supplier partners and clients.
