Event Manager
Description
The Event Manager will need sales/marketing experience in the industry to join our innovative, growing company in our Experiential Marketing division. The Event Mgr. will focus on running the brand from a sales and activation capacity. The Event Mgr. will also facilitate multiple roles and responsibilities for the client and agency in order to successfully deliver against his/her responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
The Event Mgr. will focus 60% of time on sales (90% to be focusing on on-premises, selling, & relationship building)
The other 40% of time on experiential (split between sampling, office activations, and guerrilla marketing)
Responsible for regular call frequency on assigned retail accounts primarily to sell in new product, increase distribution, grow brand equity, monitor price and build relationships
Build business relationships with and present professional sales presentations using sales histories and pitch-books
Maintaining published product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts by monitoring and rotating stocks
Sell-in new placements and engage with retailers and consumers
Conceive, Plan and Execute activation events in On-Premise Accounts and other venue
Responsible for fulfilling pre-established objectives set by the Brand Manager in the market
Make daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history and reports
Attend sales/team meetings as directed by management along with daily interaction with manager to discuss sales issues, competitive activities, and opportunities to maximize sales efforts
Participate in evening and weekend promotions as necessary
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Preferred
3 year’s sales/marketing experience in a growing Experiential Marketing division preferred
1 year’s supervisory/management experience preferred
Entrepreneurial experience a plus
Experience working successfully without close supervision
Strong proactive sales experience with a sense of urgency to bring in sales today - not by month end
Experience team player, competitive and ambitious a must.
Highly self-motivated and results oriented with the ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, and be attentive to details
Strong selling and negotiation skills
Proficient in Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment and strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand and read invoices, load sheets, job orders, installation instructions and calculate simple math functions, analytical
Ability to remains focused in stressful situations
Be able and willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
