Acosta Sales & Marketing Analyst, Procurement Operations in Toronto, Illinois

Overview

The Procurement Analyst will provide support and leadership across a variety of procurement projects and programs. Part of a team of analysts that support: Sr. Manager Systems & Business Process, Category Managers, Sr. Buyers and Buyers in development of category strategies that are aligned with Acosta’s corporate strategy and financial goals. Other key stakeholders and partners include a variety of cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

The Procurement Analyst will:

  • Provide high quality analytics and support for sourcing activities, negotiations planning, Source to Pay systems support and supplier management

  • Build and manage key performance indicators (KPI’s), reporting and support of strategic program, and business process design

  • Key responsibilities include gathering market intelligence and developing business requirements; spend analysis, supply market and supply chain analysis, supplier risk assessment, and sustainability cost analysis and modeling; KPI/compliance measurement, and reporting and supplier onboarding

  • Ability to craft and deliver communication, influence audiences, and support change management

  • Organization skills to plan and manage projects and deliver results by required due dates

  • Project management skills, including defining project objectives and requirements

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

  • Strives to deliver ongoing value in enhancement of procurement maturity for the organization

Qualifications

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience required

  • 1-3 years of experience in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Project Management/Consulting or related fields

  • Experience participating in cross-functional teams.

  • Strong process improvement skills

  • Proven analytical capabilities, including advanced skills in MS Excel. Advanced data mining, analysis, and presentation skills with a penchant for detail and accuracy. Ability to draw strategic insights from analysis and effectively summarize and present insights. Strong reporting skills; managing data, information and systems to report KPI’s and update progress

  • Subject matter expert on source to pay systems, process and it’s tie in with procurement policies and the purchasing life cycle

  • Provide first line support and ownership on source to pay system issues, training, and business operation needs

  • Ability to craft and deliver communication, influence audiences, and support change management

  • Organization skills to plan and manage projects and deliver results by required due dates

  • Project management skills, including defining project objectives and requirements

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

  • Experience in SQL, database administration, and business intelligence tools a plus.
