Acosta Sales & Marketing Vice President, Retail in Tampa, Florida
Overview
The Retail Vice President is responsible for the execution of all activities of the coverage for the region. This position leads, manages and coaches the Retail Directors and Sales Managers to ensure retail objectives of the company and clients are achieved. This position will interact heavily with regional and national client contacts on a day to day basis and will lead the retail discussion of client top to top meetings for the region. The RVP will also be responsible for leading the implementation of corporate retail strategies down to retail. The budget responsibilities will be in tandem with the Region President.
Responsibilities
Achieve all goals and stay under budget.
Develop and maintain consistent communication and rapport with clients and customers to address opportunities and expectations.
Provide leadership and direction to meet goals.
To motivate and develop Sales Managers and Retail Directors.
To oversee and coordinate retail deployment to maximize retail effectiveness.
To monitor progress and provide performance data through iQubed.
To formally evaluate Sales Managers’ and Retail Directors’ performance on sales and merchandising objectives.
Perform periodic evaluations on Sales Managers and Retail Directors to continue the development of personnel.
Assist Retail Directors and Sales Managers to develop manpower and staffing plans for retail organizations.
Analyze manpower planning and deployment using the UPS Territory Planner.
Recruit and select progressive, thought leading Retail Sales Managers and Retail Directors.
Analyze opportunities by client using iQubed and develop plans of action designed to improve client results.
Actively manage resource deployment and travel to minimize overall expense
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
10 years of consumer packaged goods experience, including 5 years retail management.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to exercise influence over people.
Be able to prioritize multiple demands simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including ability to conduct presentations.
Proven analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage a P& L.
Assertive, decisive, creative, team player and with proven sense of urgency.
Negotiation skills and ability to delegate.
