Acosta REMOTE Billing Manager in REMOTE, United States

Overview

Responsible for the development, implementation, and results of policies, processes, staffing for the AR Billing team, to include Visine analysis, Invoice creation, DRT invoice review, month-end accrual analysis, and reporting. Provides oversight for AR internal controls, separation of duties, audit compliance, and process documentation for department. Manages month-end closing cycle, reporting and reconciliation for the AR department.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for oversight of timely and accurate posting of detailed billing transactions.

  • Responsible for supervising all areas listed above to facilitate an efficient process of posting to the General Leger Revenue accounts.

  • Monitor top 200 clients for new & lost contracts, system changes, pending acquisitions and updates on contracts.

  • Establish and achieve incremental goals for timeliness and completeness of accrued revenue and document / communicate issues.

  • Work with senior management to foster improvement.

  • Maximize automation of processes including elimination of duplicate entry. Coordinate with annual external audit, periodic sampling, and internal audits for a teamwork-based, results-oriented focus.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Five to ten years progressive experience managing multiple accounting functions and supervising staff.

  • Must have experience creating accounting reports to analyze AR status and track action.

  • Desire hands-on experience in billing/invoicing, cash management, and GL coding.

  • Experience managing AR or AP for multiple locations, business segments, and product or customer categories.

  • Experience and understanding of internal controls and audit processes.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

  • Knowledge of full-cycle accounting including journal entries, sub-ledgers, general ledger, closing, and reconciliation.

  • Demonstrated aptitude in writing process documentation, proposals, evaluations, and management summaries. Expert knowledge of internal controls and audit processes.

  • Ability to develop training resources and to formally present materials/discussion to an audience. Ability to coach and counsel staff for department growth and development.

  • Strong leadership abilities, accounting information systems expertise and analytical skills. Knowledge of multi-level GL accounting structure.

  • Knowledge of full-cycle accounting including journal entries, sub-ledgers, general ledger, closing, and reconciliation. Demonstrated aptitude in writing process documentation, proposals, evaluations, and management summaries.

  • Ability to develop training resources and to formally present materials/discussion to an audience.
