Acosta Retail Analyst Sr in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Analytical support for the Retail Analytics team which includes supporting internal Acosta retail-driven initiatives and external client driven initiatives including retailer and category insights, promotion insights, pricing, shelving/space management, and other retail-focused deliverables. Sr. Retail Analyst will manage client deliverables, projects and initiatives independently and communicate directly with clients relating to retail analysis projects.
Independently manage client relationships and related deliverables or presentations, as assigned.
Organize and analyze data from available data sources (including iQubed, IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, POS data, Nielsen Homescan and others) and be able to extrapolate insights for clients.
Provide analysis, recommendations and insights in support of retail analysis initiatives and projects.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior positions within retail analytics team.
Communicate with senior and mid-level Acosta management team on client deliverables and projects.
Assist manager to ensure that other team member’s deliverables are accurate, validated and timely.
Assist in identifying and developing new deliverables, methods, opportunities, and/or improvements to existing tools and systems.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Must have college degree or 5 years experience in marketing/retail analysis (or previous experience as an Analyst) with specific knowledge of IRI and/or ACNielsen systems, other data gathering systems and their uses in creating reports, recommendations and presentations.
Must be computer literate with a degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, e-mail, database management, and prefer experience with ACNielsen NITRO, Spectra, and IRI’s XLerate.
Must be able to effectively communicate with others.
Must be able to operate a calculator, computer, printer, fax machine, telephone and copy machine.
Must be able to independently create presentations and derive insights from data.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
