Acosta Sales & Marketing Sales Support Supervisor in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Overview

Responsible for the supervision of the Sales Support tasks of an assigned team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource to all Sales Support personnel in the branch in addressing Sales Support questions.

  • Consistently demonstrate the highest level of proficiency in all Sales Support functions and company policy and procedures.

  • Perform all the responsibilities of a Sales Support Business Manager Assistant.

  • Hire, train, develop, supervise, evaluate, establish work schedules, approve timesheets and complete the Payroll Recap for all Sales Support Associates.

  • Perform desk audits to ensure that all Sales Support functions are up-to-date and are being performed accurately and efficiently.

  • Conduct training with Sales Support Associates as needed.

  • Review the Manufacturer provided Deduction Reports on the 15th of each month. Work with Sales Support Associates to ensure we are monitoring the top 20 Manufacturers and adhering to our "Over 90 Day" policy within all offices. Any problems should be communicated to the appropriate individuals.

  • Complete the Deduction Status Recap form and provide copies to the Regional Sales Support Manager or the Director of Sales Support.

  • Oversee the Invoice and Commission Reconciliation process for assigned Sales Support Team. Monitor the Monthly Deduction Notice forms and follow up with the Business Manager as needed to ensure timely and accurate payment of all commissions due.

  • Monthly Commission Reports are to be provided to the General Manager and Regional Manager of Sales Support.

  • Make salary recommendations for Sales Support Associates within assigned team.

  • When commission checks total $500, deposit daily and submit the related documentation to Corporate Accounting, Attention: Income Team by noon.

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of procedures for all manufacturers represented within team of Sales Support Associates.

  • Thoroughly and accurately provide all New Account and Account Termination information to the Corporate Executive Secretary.

  • Ensure that all Principal address changes are provided to the Corporate Executive Secretary.

  • Circulate the consolidated principal list within the branch and provide all updates to Corporate on a quarterly basis.

  • Perform special assignments for the company and/or branch as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Must have 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Background in Sales Support and/or brokerage field preferred.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Be able to communicate in formal and informal settings.

  • Should be able to negotiate effectively and be able to motivate and lead staff.

  • Must know spreadsheet and Word software.
