Description
The Digital Platform Product Owner is a leadership role that is responsible for driving strategic direction, business enablement, and product solution planning for software and services solutions.
Through cultured relationships the Product Owner obtains strategic initiatives from business leaders, their associated priorities and dollar value. Through collaboration this role works alongside the delivery team in providing the appropriate solution.
The role is characterized as a strong leader, creative, analytical, innovative and strategic in nature, able to negotiate and influence at the executive and manager levels.

Essential Functions:
Partner with Business in defining the enablement opportunities and evangelize new & future capabilities that support strategic initiatives.
Provides leadership in the creation and management of the product roadmap. This includes grooming the backlog and managing the release schedule of functionality (also includes working with the Business Analysts to ensure consistent documentation of features).
Expose the separate channels to each other's needs to converge the channels to a common business approach.
Oversee the socialization and documentation of system capabilities and how they enable business processes.
Research and identify current and future competitive and technology landscapes.
Collaborate with other Product Owners to ensure consistency and build synergies.
Manage change through understanding and communicating the risks, opportunities and trade-offs when priorities shift. Illustrate the financial impacts of change, both positive and negative.
Chair periodic meetings with Business Leaders and Users to review and discuss internal and external markets, technological advances and product roadmap.
Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure alignment on product direction and departmental goals.

Assist in the definition, design and delivery of new data products within the Livingston Data Hub and additional related applications.
Document, monitor, and revise product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes in support of application development.
Serve as Data Analytics team lead in assisting the broader IT group in the resolution of roadblocks hindering product delivery and post-deployment support.
Own the effort to prepare and maintain a roadmap of data products to define product enhancements for short- and long-term releases.
Collect and analyze data to determine product direction to create backlog of user stories and collaborate with business partners to define requirements.
Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing of functional requirements.
Collaborate with data architects and engineers on defining pipelines and warehousing strategies that prepare data collected for robust analysis.
Assist in creating product training and documentation materials in support of the implementation and launch of Data Analytics applications.
Partner with business and technology partners to identify innovative opportunities for meeting client needs and present those to leadership around the themes of revenue generation, cost savings, risk reduction, and enhanced productivity.
Provide training, mentoring and guidance to both direct reports as well as authorized business partner users of Data Hub products
May be required to assist in ad-hoc analysis to support mission-critical events.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
Experience building data platforms and resultant capabilities with ingestion patterns, data architecture and data processing pipelines, as well as service layer
Experience in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with a variety of tools and statistical analysis environments such as Python, R, SPSS, SAS, Altyrex
Experience with data discovery & reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, Micro Strategy, SSRS, Cognos.
Preferred candidate has a deep understanding & experience building solutions with retail data & tools – E.g. Nielsen, IRI
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
Strong analytical capabilities and ability to make recommendations based on data
Working knowledge of Databases, SQL/T-SQL, ETL
Confidence to roll up the sleeves and lead by example via hands-on solution development
Expertise troubleshooting data quality issues and analyzing data requirements
Executive presence and relationship building skills; Ability to interact with & influence business partners & clients
Good understanding of advanced concepts like predictive analytics, data mining, machine learning
Skillful in mentoring and managing team members (internal & offshore) in technology, architecture and delivery of data/analytics solutions
