Acosta Mgr, Payroll in Jacksonville, Florida
Payroll Manager serves as the subject matter expert and escalation point for all payroll related functions in a shared services environment.

Responsible for the selection, development, performance management and retention of the payroll organization, with focus on building a world-class team
Manage full cycle in-house US payroll processing of multi-entity, multi-state/territory, bi-weekly payrolls for both exempt and non-exempt employees, as well as UK and Germany outsourced payrolls.
Develop and maintain complete documentation of ongoing payroll system functionalities and procedures. Establish practices, procedures, and controls necessary to ensure the efficient operation of payroll processing and to ensure accurate and on time delivery.
Ensure appropriate security measures and internal controls are established and enforced to safeguard associate data and company information.
Maintain effective internal controls and proactively work to identify and implement efficiency improvements. Also, develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators and metrics for payroll-related functions.
Drive strong performance management in the team through clear expectations, priority setting, frequent touchpoints, and feedback.
Assign, direct, schedule, and evaluate the work of associates involved with processing payroll, garnishments, and time and attendance.
Lead and participate in projects with internal and external business partners to support business initiatives and promote continuous process improvement. Engage with internal and external business partners to resolve payroll-related issues.
Remain knowledgeable of current and changing laws and regulations affecting overall US payroll administration, in addition to state and local regulations.
Maintain strictest confidentiality of any payroll, private employee information and any proprietary information and ensure payroll information is secure.
Coordinate deadlines and processes with other departments so that the payroll and time and attendance process can respond to varying cyclical deadlines; solve problems before, during, and after payroll cycles; updates, distributes and maintains department manuals as needed.

High School Diploma/GED
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Certification/License Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
7 years progressive payroll experience to include multiple legal entities and all states and territories.
5 years supervisor / management experience required.
Proven experience with responsibility for 20,000 employees preferred.
Proven experience as part of a global organization preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
Knowledge and expertise leading teams to achieve common goals, including managing the work of direct and indirect reports.
Ability to empower and challenge team members of all skill levels to reach their full potential. Ability to champion and adapt to change.
Expert knowledge of US Payroll laws, regulations, and requirements. Basic knowledge of UK and Germany payroll laws and regulations is a strong plus, but not required.
Thorough knowledge of timekeeping, accruals and absence tracking requirements.
Advanced skill in MS Excel.
