Description

Senior Salesforce Administrator leads the configuration, improvement, support, and maintenance of Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. Within Salesforce, the Senior Salesforce Administrator manages the existing workflows while identifying, developing, and deploying new business solutions. The Senior Salesforce Administrator performs a combination of technical management, systems administrator, and Salesforce analyst activities as part of their responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform administrator functions such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, assignment rules, queues, licenses, capacity, and storage management

  • Maintaining the overall Salesforce.com system, including data loads

  • Manage dashboards, reports, forms, templates, page layouts, workflows and approvals

  • Collect user requirements for enhancements to the system by facilitating appropriate internal discussions.

  • Depending on experience level, may create and maintain custom objects, object relationships, standard and custom fields and set up Website-to-Salesforce integration where appropriate and in consultation with client teams and other members of the 501 Commons Technology Services team.

  • Work with end users to provide coaching around best practices and tips on Salesforce usage

  • Responsible for delivery of detailed functional design, administration and functional test execution activities across all Salesforce.com clouds (Sales,Marketing, Service & Platform).

  • Define key dates and milestones for release activities and track status.

  • Create and maintain end-user documentation including internal processes

  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades

  • Customize reporting and dashboards for various teams, provide reports and report training

  • Manage and maintain third party apps s and make recommendations on tools that will provide better user experiences and efficiencies

  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and corresponding documentation and provide new functionalities and solutions as needed

  • Assist with data migration from other systems as needed

  • Responsible for development activities requiring advanced configuration within Salesforce.

  • Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Salesforce Admin Certification

  • Work Experience Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years work-related experience

  • Minimum 1 years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator

  • 2 years in IT as a developer, consultant, business analyst or systems administrator

  • Experience creating documentation for requirements, design, test, and training

  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Strong data management abilities

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality

  • Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

  • Strong organizational, planning and management skills

  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes

  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion

  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements

  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption

  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards

  • Experience creating documentation for requirements, design, test, and training

  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred
