Acosta Sales & Marketing Systems Engineer, Senior MDM in Irving, Texas
Responsible for designing and delivering Master Data Management (MDM) solutions in an enterprise context. Coordinates and guides MDM platform development across multiple projects and delivery teams, using both agile and traditional development methods to delivery MDM capabilities in an iterative manner.

Essential Functions of this Position:
Manages DevOps aspects of running the MDM platform.
Works collaboratively with product managers, data analysts, architects, and other IT resources to implement new requirements for mastering critical company data, data harmonization, data integration, and governed reference data.
Develop MDM solutions for Acosta enterprise business domains using the Orchestra Networks EBX platform.
Develop extract/transform/load processes for system data into MDM applications using Microsoft Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory and other Microsoft Azure cloud-based services.
Develop and deploy real-time master data services using REST-based API and techniques.
Develop custom developed extensions within the MDM platform framework to support the proper implementation of data validation, data cleansing and data harmonization rules within the MDM platform.
Plan and monitor MDM/metadata project lifecycle deployment using agile methods.
Work closely with data architects, subject matter experts, and system data modelers to accurately translate master data and process models involving into MDM platform database designs and workflow models.
Develop, test, and maintain enhancements to MDM solution application layer(s).
Provide quality control over the build and deployment of the MDM components and ensure compliance IT coding and security standards.
Develop and maintain operational metadata loading, import and export activities.
Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed application designs.
Work with internal IT resources and organizational end users, as necessary, to clarify current operating procedures and communicate development objectives.
Plan all phases of assigned projects with limited supervision or support one or more components of moderately complex projects with direction from more experienced analysts.
Advise internal customers on project timelines for all phases of technical design projects. Function as technical resource on appropriate projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Recommend improvements to business processes as supported by application systems.
Prepare technical specifications from which MDM solutions will be developed, configured or integrated with assistance from more experienced analysts.
Convert technical specifications into code using proprietary and non-proprietary tools with assistance from more experienced analysts.
Provide support for complex application systems requiring knowledge of one or more programming languages.
Write high quality source code utilizing structured programming techniques to support application components and the development of applications.
Support the development and coordination of system and integration test plans; partner with quality assurance testing teams to identify errors and confirm business specifications have been achieved.
Support the transfer of software from test environment to production environment.
Provide system administration support and day-to-day troubleshooting for custom application systems.
Support the development of end-user training materials.
Integrate software components and 3rd party programs.
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Eight years of experience in advanced ETL development including complex data mapping.
Eight years of experience and understanding of enterprise data management best practices.
Five years of experience designing and implementing Master Data Management solutions with a minimum of 2 years of experience with Orchestra Networks EBX.
Four years of experience in Java EE, JSP, SQL Server.
Four years of experience designing and implementing data quality and data cleansing custom solutions.
Four years of experience with ERwin and ERStudio data modeling tools or equivalent functional toolsets.
Solid experience of OOP, Data Structure, Design Patterns.
Experience in developing applications on Microsoft Azure Platform using features like Cloud Services, Web Role, Worker Role, Azure Web App, Azure API App, Azure Storage, etc.
Hands-on Experience in Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure SQL Database.
Experience with migration and product upgrades in MDM space including leading non-functional requirements to support the work will be added advantage.
Experience with managing metadata for master data management solutions
Strong proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities.
Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills at all levels.
Strong technical writing skills.
Experience developing front-end web applications using UI frameworks is desired.
Experience with role-based security provisioning and LDAP integrations is desired.
Experience with content-based (row level) security administration and customizations is desired.
Hands-on experience with 3 rd party data matching and data quality tools is a plus.
Experience with 3 rd party workflow / business process management (BPM) tools is a plus.
Experience with Data Catalog, Business Glossary and/or Metadata Repository tools is a plus.
Some experience as an SQL Server DBA desired, but not required
