Acosta Sales & Marketing Director, Corporate Distribution in Houston, Texas


The Director, Corporate Distribution’s role is to develop new business and grow existing business by analyzing account potential, initiating new programs, and communicating needs to clients. This position will have a dotted line to the SVP, Strategy and Distribution.


  • Initiate sales process by building relationships, qualifying potential, and scheduling appointments with clients

  • Build and develop relationships throughout the corporate hierarchy

  • Collaborate with clients in developing corporate programs and sales strategies

  • Schedule annual corporate reviews for clients

  • Monitor competitive products, prices, programs, and promotions

  • Negotiates and cloeses sales by implementing appropriate sales techniques

  • Communicate corporate needs and opportunities to clients

  • Create corporate promotions

  • Identify development potential by studying and evaluating current business

  • Attend food shows

  • Assist in sales presentations

  • Communicate all corporate programs to Distributor Account Managers

  • Facilitates video training programs on new lines

  • Facilitates video conference calls to educate Distributor Account Managers on day-to-day activities

  • Other duties as assigned


  • 5 – 7 Years of experience in the foodservice industry

  • Experience as either a broker or distributor representative is preferred

  • Previous supervisor experience is preferred

  • A positive, professional, and proactive attitude

  • Strong communication skills

  • Leadership and management skills

  • Adept at building trust and credibility

  • Planning and organizational skills

  • Works well with teams and has strong motivational skills

  • Strong problem solving and strategic planning skills

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • This position requires that you drive on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing, and as such, any DUI/DWI conviction in the past 36 months will be an immediate disqualifier for this position.
