We are seeking an engaging individual to join our sales team on a part-time basis who will thrive on showcasing the latest innovations in consumer electronics. This dedicated specialist will represent our multinational client, Sony®, and their premier line of televisions, sound bars, digital imaging, home audio equipment, and other electronic accessories.

Our Sony Sales Specialists serve as in-store experts, playing a key role in promoting the Sony brand by understanding the needs of customers, answering their questions, comparing against competitors, and offering personalized purchasing advice. Last but not least, this role takes place in the Pearl Harbor Military Exchange where our Specialist can take pride in delivering world-class customer service experiences for our military service members, veterans, and their families.

SCHEDULE & LOCATION:

  • 20 hours per week

  • Wed 1pm - 7pm; Sat 12pm - 7pm; Sun 11am - 6pm

  • Main Exchange Store at the Pearl Harbor-Hickam Base at 4725 Bougainville Dr in Honolulu

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Build strong relationships and rapport with Base Exchange customers and personnel

  • Identify customers' needs and recommend appropriate Sony products and accessories

  • Proactively engage customers through the sales process, from initial greeting to closing the sale

  • Provide trainings to Base Exchange staff on the various Sony products, as requested

  • Ensure that products are properly merchandised, displayed, and functional

  • Complete same-day online reports to document visits, including providing feedback, observations, and submitting customer and store photos

  • Maintain business communication with Sony Military Program Manager via occasional phone calls, web meetings, and/or emails

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Security clearance background check to gain base access is part of the process upon an offer of employment

  • Previous sales, retail, or relevant face-to-face customer service experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge and enthusiasm for consumer home electronics

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills

  • Access to reliable transportation to commute to local Military Base

  • Access to internet and smart device for reporting and training

  • Available to work Thursdays-Saturdays OR Fridays-Sundays
