Acosta Sales & Marketing Total Rewards Vice President in Jacksonville, Florida


The Total Rewards Vice President will be accountable to set the overarching Total Rewards strategy for Acosta Sales & Marketing and ensure integration with the broader Acosta Human Capital Management Strategy. Establish an enterprise Total Rewards philosophy and approach that holistically evaluates, assesses and establishes externally competitive compensation & benefit programs that attract and retain best in class talent. Establish enterprise compensation and benefits programs, processes and tools that are business relevant and can be leveraged to drive engagement, commitment and satisfaction. Ensure enterprise governance and compliance assuring adherence to local and federal statues and laws.

Human Resources


  • Evaluate, design and develop enterprise salary structure, processes and programs that deliver against talent strategies

  • Develop completive frontline and sales incentive programs

  • Manage the administration of an annual salary planning and merit budget process

  • Conduct annual market evaluation of existing compensation practices and policies and develop recommendations to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity

  • Establish and conduct annual equity process to ensure employees are paid fairly and consistently with internal and external pay practices to include objective process of evaluating and approving compensation decisions

  • Create, implement and maintain ongoing education program to ensure associates understand their “value creation” opportunities at Acosta Sales & Marketing

  • Create, implement and maintain systems and processes that ensure all associates performance is evaluated and rewarded on a consistent, fair basis and no less than annually

  • Ensure ongoing audits are conducted and that all associates are in compliance with salary administration, incentive and performance evaluation guidelines

  • Assess effectiveness of compensation solutions and services

  • Lead, develop and motivate staff to grow within total rewards

  • Provide compensation trend and insight analysis that assist management in making appropriate HCM trade off decisions, made labor costs, provide appropriate employee rewards and support business requirements

  • Partner with CHRO to develop long term executive compensation strategy

  • Ensure appropriate oversight and compliance with state and federal tax and government laws

  • Ensure execution of appropriate corporate employment reporting requirements

  • Manage the development, design and reporting requirements of the Associate benefit programs (i.e., retirement plans, health and wellness, disability, life, etc.) and ensure compliance with ERISA standards

  • Work with third parties to ensure management oversight of company health and wellness, investment and disability plans

  • Develop and manage an appropriate employee benefits communication strategy to promote participate understanding and ownership

  • Develop, implement and manage internal departmental processes to simplify plan use by Associates and to streamline internal processes

  • Set and manage appropriate SLA’s and KPIs to ensure customer service levels are maintained at high level and that Associate’s concerns are addressed expeditiously, fairly and courteously

  • Develop and manage procedures and guidelines for the implementation of benefit plans and policies

  • Conduct market assessments that evaluates and compares existing Company benefits with those of other employers to ensure competitiveness

  • Develops specifications for new plans or modifies existing plans to: (a) maintain Company’s competitive position in labor markets, and; (b) obtain uniform benefit package for locations where possible.

  • Utilizes cost-effective methods to control current and future costs of benefits to the Company, while still meeting the needs of the Associate base and ensuring the Company retains a competitive benefits posture in the market place

  • Assists in the development of cost sharing strategies and business decisions related to benefit expenditures

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10+ years managing enterprise compensation and benefits programs, policies and systems

  • Technical practitioner of compensation with experience in designing compensation strategy, philosophy, enterprise approach, policies, processes, programs and systems

  • Benefits practioner or senior HR generalist in managing benefit programs and partnership with external partners to design programs’

  • Prior participation in internal or external compensation and benefits boards (preferred)

  • Strategic thinker having designed Total Rewards strategies that are aligned to overall business strategy

  • Ability to translate data into trends and insights that drive higher level of thinking and quality of decision making

  • Organization design capability to appropriately align operating model, structure and service delivery models

  • Business acumen to be able to effectively influence all levels of the organization and deliver practical solution to meet business requirements

  • Strong business partnering skills to ensure high collaboration and influencing

  • Able to effectively set, cascade, manage and measure Total Rewards objectives to ensure delivery of results

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and stakeholders

  • Talent builder to ensure right people are doing the right work and succession in place

  • Able to effectively use data to identify trends, translate into insights that drive high level of critical thinking and solid decision making

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to be detail oriented while also focusing on the big picture
